We used a new webconferencing program I just got, Persony (I still need work on figuring it all out!), but we were able to use it with a free audio conferencing service and Skype. I recorded the phone conference part with BYOAudio and was able to show everyone the notes I was taking on my desktop with the web conferencing software.
Then I posted the notes and a link to the recording on the network. People have been emailing me to thank me for putting the notes and recording up there, so they feel like they could be a part of it.
So you can see how all of these tools allow you to network with a large group of people, even when you can’t be there in person!
