Business specialty: I help professionals in the service industry strategize ways to simplify their marketing and self-promotion so they gain visibility, credibility and get more clients.
I want to partner with the following types of businesses: Experts to be interviewed on subjects dealing with the challenges professionals in the service industry face in starting, running and marketing their business. These 10-15 minute interviews would be recorded as podcasts, submitted to podcast directories, posted on my site, and promoted on my blog.
Projects I would like to partner on: Basically, I’m taking maternity leave from March 2007 until the end of the year. Understandably, I won’t be 100% available. I will keep working on my business, while not making any income (or else my benefits will be cut). As such, my plan is to concentrate on visibility and credibility strategies like article writing, blogging, teleclasses, presentations and podcasts. I’m open to suggestions from those who feel that I have something valuable to offer their organization (for example, Rima asked me to host her first networking event, which I did by giving a presentation to her members) or who would like to collaborate on projects.
Ideal client: Professionals in the service industry who are the best at and love what they do. They hesitate marketing and selling, because they don’t like to, are not sure where to start, or fear being labeled a “pushy” salesperson.
